About

My name is Warren McCleland and I am the owner of ECOREX Consulting Ecologists CC. I specialise in conducting biodiversity surveys throughout Africa south of the Sahara. I am primarily a botanist, with a particular interest in vegetation ecology and taxonomy. However, birds are a competing passion and I find studying the interactions between bird communities and their habitats particularly enthralling. I have a network of associates who I team up with for large projects, which enables us to survey a wide spectrum of biodiversity in both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
